Me too. Haven't had a lick of problems with my '02' 500. Sure wish I had more power though.

Well, thats good to know that there are some polaris people out there. Owning a polaris is like owning a Mopar, never have any problems unless you wreck em. I want to replace the steering stem or shaft or whatever you want to call it on my 700 because I bent it bad when I crashed last time, but untill the divorce is final and the house is sold, and I figure out what state I am going to live in, it will have to wait. I bent it back the best I could, but its not perfect, and I like perfect.

Oh no! If it's like owning a Mopar I'd better think about dumping this thing RIGHT NOW! ....Don't be needing no cracked head/head gasket, transmission, heater core leaks, timing belt tensioner, rust hole, electrical,  problems with this bad boy....Well it was an older Chrysler LeBaron my kid drove to college. Tried to maintain it but just couldn't keep up. If it would have held up better, well who knows, maybe she could have gotten a PHD instead of car repairs with all the money I spent on that POS...I know it was just a bad one....LOLL...GOTT

Umm, yea, I gotta agree with y'all there, I try to forget about the K car years and most of the front driver stuff that came along after that.

I am a ASE Master certified mechanic...and work in an independant shop (meaning we work on all makes)

I prefer Chevrolets myself....but have always loved the body styling and creativeness that mopar's have.

In my opinion, there are alot of good....and some pretty bad vehicles from all the major manufacturers.

EXAMPLES

FORD:
crown victoria.......good
taurus......decent
probe.....ish
contour/mystique.....double ish
focus.....ish

Chevy:
Anything with the 3800 motor.....way good
Most of the trucks.....very good
anything with a Quad 4 motor.....crap
Aurora with the 4.0L (mini Northstar)...horrible track record

Dodge:
Most of them are pretty good except I am tired of head gaskets on Neon's (2.4L)
2.7L like on Sebrings are troublesome
Still seem to have the transmission issues ...but they have improved quite a bit.

It would be to time consuming to get in to the Foreign models....because there are soooo many.  (besides the obvious...seeing alot of Kia, Hyundai, Mitsubishi, and even Daewoo)

Bottom line is:  Drive what suits you best....there are NO gaurantees that your not going to have trouble.......2 people with the same model of car can have totally opposite luck.....  :2cent:

Oh yeah....I am way off topic here....I still own a Polaris Sportsman 600 twin.....and also have a Polaris snowmobile...one with a long title....600 XCR SE SP  (but have the Ultra SPX SE motor that has been built up some...  Dyno'd at 140 horse)

Boy, I know all about those neon head gaskets, lol. A lot of people around here own polaris snowmobiles, I am not going to say ride, because we dont get enough snow anymore, but this does seem to be polaris country.

All I ever owned were popo's till they wouldn't warrenty their stuff. Would still be riding one if they had've. The last two were 800's. Awesome machines. Just too many problems that were manufactored into them and then no warrenty. Polaris lost at least a hundred thousand in sales to me alone and 10 times that due to I stear everyone I talk to out of buying one. They will never get another penny from me. Like I said, awesome machines when operating correctly. I will say this, the only ones that I ever had problems with were the 800's. Never a problem out of the older 2 stroke 400's. Just got burned twice by the 800's (litterally burned and got the scar to prove it). Even bought the extended warrenty but they still wouldn't fix the machine properly.  :2cent:
