Have any of you guys saying that the bombs visco lock is smoother and better than the sportsmans 4 wheel system actually watched the movie on this forum between the 500X2 sportsman and the 800 outty max xt.  It described each machines traction system and shows how they work....anyway the sportsman flat out makes the the visco lock look like a pile of crap.  If you dont believe me here is the link

Watch and learn all you nay sayers.....and not to mention its only the 500 against the 800.

I wondered if this topic was still alive when I seen this video. Turn the volume up and listen to the two machines. Also notice how one is smooth and one jumpy.

Nothing like BurninG a BelT to climb a useless 3 foot wall to prove your got a manual locking diff. GRATS to ya!! I look at it this way. More moving parts more things to break. Its a fact, you got a locking diff. Come on if your going to post a pointless video at least make it one with some action. Here is some 3wheel drive action for ya. I bet he wished he had a locker so he wouldnt get stuck.....................

Well seriously.... I am sure the Can-am owners know how their diff works and why they like it or dont like it. There is no need for a vid of how to burn a belt and groove a clutch.

I wonder something...
It is my understanding that the KQ and the grizzly both use something in a differential that is similar to the visco lok, and they also add the ability to run true 4x4 full time when you want to.. do the auto locker setups on these quad act instantaneously or do they too have a slight lag? I would guess that they too have a slight lag, its probably shorter than the outty but i bet its still there. Personally I have yet to even notice the lag on my outty.. lots of snow riding, not much muddin... I just don't see a hydraulic type locking differential on any machine working without some type of delay to pump it up or fully engage the mechanism.

Swe-dooo....
as for your question concerning which rig to buy.. I would try and talk you out of getting the king quad.. I had one and a friend has one at this time. Everytime I get on her quad I remember why I got rid of mine. The steering is dreadfully twitchy and very unnerving on bumpy terrain. I had mine for 6 months and got rid of it, sold it to a friend and haven't regretted it one bit. Every now and then we trade off rigs and i can't belive how twitchy the steering is on "his" compared to my outty. That and the engine braking on the outty is far superior to the KQ and the popo. The only other quad I would recommend other than the outty is the grizzly.. good solid rig. My two cents..
