That's the case sometimes over there. I can't get some questions answered too.

You're right cc. I've been noticing that and the other key word to get everyone's attention is steel horses.

This was anounced over at HL. Looks like these site will have a full on press kit to be released tonight.

Here is a cut and paste of the info of where to go and what all they are supose to have posted tonight.

Hey guys,

At midnight tonight, UTV Off-Road Magazine is going to have all the details of the 2009 Polaris models on our website: http://www.utvoffroadmag.com

The top item in the News & Event section will be our 20 page article you can read right online. It will include details of all UTV/SxS models including the latest and newest accessories, as well.

The second item in the News & Events section will be the videos of their product line. This will initially include a full walk-around specifications video and an exciting action video. In short time we'll have some additional videos up of all the accessories they had on display in addition to the rest of the UTV/SxSs.

If you have unanswered questions after reading the article and seeing the videos, we'll be more than happy to answer them if we know the answer. We got to spend 2 days with them, so there's probably some things we missed but will cover in future issues once we get some more time to spend with the machines
.

Howa it compare to the Max? I like it. I do not like the touring model. Ther rear seat is hokey the way it conects and you need it in place to hole the main seat in place. Weak design. If you are riding 1 then who wants the bulky rear seat? I would like to see the 850 with that dumper.

Its Turning radius and manuverabilty in tight spots is superior to the Max, the max has a more comforatable seat for your passenger, but if you plan to ride solo 80% or more I think the X2 is the better choice, if you plan to ride double most of the time, then you have an even more comforatable seat then the max with the T in combination with the excelent turing radius for a 2 up. We actually did a field test with the X2 and one of our single seat outys, both with Bighorns, and both were able to turn in the same circle as the other. I was shocked that the X2 was able to turn that sharp, since the max was noticably different than the single seat when it came to turning radius.

The Max does have the power advantag, and I do like the v-twin rotax better than the Liberty parralel twin from Polaris. I like the looks of the max a little better as well, but the I think the all Black of the X2 plus the bumper hides a lot of the odd looks IMO. I was never happy with the Max, it was never a machine that I chose to ride in Solo form, for trail riding, the X2 is a differnt story, I injoy riding it solo or double. The back seat makes a real nice back rest, also I had inverably whould need the back seat for the max to ride two and it was half the time setting at home in the garage when I needed it. The convertabilty in the field from single to two up is an awsome feature for my needs, no longer do I need to drag that big seat around with me. The X2 is really just working out a lot better for my needs than the Max did. .

Ok here's a stupid question. You are comparing the stretched (2 seater) versions right?

An 850 x2 would be perfect. I agree on the comfort of the rear seat on the x2. I do like all of the storage on the popo and when you ride a popo, you feel like nothing can get in your way. A freaking Tank. Getty up is lacking though.

A tank is a very good descripion. It stomps over small trees growing up in the trail, without even slowing it down.

Thanks guys, Colorado is my favorite place to ride.

Ya Vodoo, thats him. Those other 3 quads were some of his machines, My brother inlaw was riding the prarrie, and my dads buddy was on the KQ, of course my dad was on his Outy 800. I think the only machine of his that was not out on the trail that trip was his Max 800.

There are really 1000s of miles and miles of trails out there with those same sort of great mountain views and vistas around you the whole time. I have found nowhere else like it.

Here is a few more pics from years past.
