YA, maybe, LOL

I have owned several and as with any machine out there they all have there good points and bad.

For the kinda trails we were doing last weekend, and concidering what a good time I had getting back into some of the more aggresive type trails, the polaris machines that I was riding with really shined, and the whole time I wished I still had my 05' 800, so when I got back, I just went and got me new one. I had been thinking about it for several months, asking questions about them and what not, but last weekend was what finally convinced me to put one back in the stable.

cc1999 Just wondering, why not the touring model, looks to be skads more comfy for a passenger?

Very nice. Can you replace the box with a pass seat or is it bolted on there.

Outlandish the floor of the bed lifts up to make the passenger back rest and the back rest you see there folds back flat to become the back seat. I will try and get a few pics of it in the 2 seat config, so you can see what I mean.

As to why the X2, over the Touring model. I didn't intend to cary a passenger all that often, and as I learned experinced wi the max I had, I never had the back seat with me when I needed it. This way its always there, not in the way, i still have tons of storage room. The Touring model does have the far more comforatable passenger seat, but the versatilty is gone. So if you plan to ride with a passenger the majority of the time, I would say go for the touring, but if just once in a while are you going to need to carry a passenger, then I would say the X2 is the better choice.

I bought this X2 becsue some of the more rough country back woods rocky trails we have been doing more of lately, these X2s seem to really shine. The X2 has the ground clearance, and the added wheelbase, that is great for some of the steap climbs and rocky terain, the storage capacity is second to none, when it comes to being prepaired for the long all day all night ridiing we have been doing more of lateley I think the X2 is the best choice out there it even has a large 6 gallon tank for added range. After seeing and riding some of my friends X2s and Touring models, its pretty much ideal for that sort of riding.

Well no offense but them polaris's are just plain ugly. I guess the ability to pack a lot of gear with you might out weigh the looks.:2cent:

Looks is just one of those prefference things, I am in a lot of forums, and the Outys get knocked on there looks as well when I venture away from here into Articchat, or Polaris dominant forums, just about all brands do, it just depends on who what forum your on. Since I have several differnt brands of machines, I here it all, so I am not offended, to each there own. I will admit its not the pertiest quad i have ever owned, but it will look a little better I think once I get some mods on it. These are just the OEM stock pics, I try to take, prior to modding them.

Here is a pic of the back seat that shows how it looks when in passenger mode.

I kinda like their looks. Around here they are probably 80% of the wheelers you see. I had to be different in 03 and buy an Outty LOL

At least the outty's are streamlined a bit. Needs more curb appeal. LOL. :2cent:

I have my perrrrrrty rigs, this machine is not going to look much different than any other when its covered in dirt and mud. LOL At that point they just look dirty and if I I have been able to hall everything I need and ride all day over extream terain in relative comfort, well thats what I bought this particular unit for, and I will be more than happy with it, and not really care that its not as perrrrrty as some of the others in the stable.

A good buddy of mine has just as many if not more machines in his stable than I do, including an Outy800, KQ750, Grizz700, A honda something or another, and a 500 X2 , of all those machines he still tells me the X2 is the one he seems to ride the most and preffers for the types of trails we have been riding lately, I road his last time we were out, and watched it in action on the trail. I had to agree with him, and his is a 500, it was just plain better suited for what we were doing, than any machine I had at the time. So there it is, problem solved. LOL

Looks pretty sweet to me!  nice choice!  the colour really suits it!  when I was deciding on a quad it was between that one and the outty.  both are great machines.  plus I like the polaris "1 wheel drive" option for roads and turf.

great quad, heres hoping you ejoy the ride!

Here is the setup I am going with for wheels and tires.

The wheels are Polaris Rims found on that Orange LE model. Same as whats on it just with the black centers. I want to keep the width at a minimum.
