Bob have you done any big bore kits in the prairie 700? I was thinking about doing one for the atv pull events, looking at around 785cc. Any suggestions? thanks.

yep ... I recomned the 730 .. the 730 is a real runner ... the best part is there is no need to sleave the cylinders, this makes it much more relieable. the hp is found with the big cams and pocketed pistons. the 700s come with a very conservitive cam. and poor porting . people confuse hp with bigbore alot .. I run a 730 myself and they build incredable hp ... if your local your more than welcome to try mine out .. I have also converted bigger carbs on mine .. I am not interested in top speed more low end for pulling and relieable for normal riding. I was thinking of the new 650 bomb but I like the SRA for pulling, it seems like they do so much better than IRS. With the 650 I could pull in two classes but if I go to the 700 prairie I would be limited to the 700 and up class. Is there anything I could do with IRS to make it a better puller, shocks etc. We are not allowed to locked it down in the pulls I go to. What would be an $ estimate for making a 700 a 730. What about a 650 prairie would that be an option if I want to run two classes? What can you do for the 650, same thing? I live north of Rochester so am not to far from you, have a friend in Jordan I used to work with that is retired now.

the 730 kit instaled and tuned is about 2g that is a complete race motor , pistons, cams, springs, valvejob ,porting, instalation, tuned. you will need pipe system a dyna or simular cdi (the race motor builds hp way past the stock limmiter ) clutching Im not into pulling atvs so im limmited to pulling setups . personaly I would not worry about pulling in a higher class .. motor wise you would be set . unless you are very serious about pulling and wanted a huge pulling motor. then a 916 could be built for you. but the $ numbers sky rocket for that type of motor. that motor takes complete teardown and replacement of rods ,new crank ect ect ... the 730 motors can handle a pretty big shot of nos if you need the added hp ... ride mine and im shure you will not be thinking you need nos ..

I decided I am going to stick with a stock machine, its more fun that way. You can do alot with tire pressure and weight distribution. If you start modifying its usually who has the most money into the machine that wins. I would rather stay stock and try and win honestly. Its the most fun when I beat the bigger machines with my little 450 kodiak.
