The only problem with buying a 1000cc Bomber is that it would probably get soooo hot that when the water leaked into the cvt it would explode sending shmelted plastic all over your riding buddies on their Polaris' which were trying to pull you out of that water since  your winch diode caused your engine to stop!

JUST KIDDING..................  Dare I say it.... I might buy a 1000cc Honda. As long as it had a manual tranny! If not.... the ol' Polaris would have to do!

Honda would probably make their 1000cc engine a 1 cylinder, just like what is in their other machines. That's what gives them all of their power!!!:)

At least a Honda doesn't have to go 20mph to make it onto a trailer!!!

can you imagine riding a 1000 cc atv with a swingarm.  no diff-lock and about 8.5 inches of ground clearance.  not to mention that dumb transmission in the rincon.  i am sure it would be bullet proof and maintance free but you would need a back brace and mouth guard to keep from busting your teeth from hitting little bumps on the trail.  i'm not saying honda makes a bad machine at all,  they have it perfected they havent changed anything since the 80's.  JMOP

grizz

my vote is yammy all the way.(hey they needed one vote)

I'd go with Honda just because the BRP dealer is an hour and a half round trip andf is not open at night. I know my Honda won't have to go back to the dealer. Whereas my BRP spends more time at the dealer than on the trail. My winch is sporadic, which is annoying. And heat isn't much of an issue, but more of a blessing. I mostly ride in the winter and at the speeds I ride the heat is nice. BRP is the only bike with a built in heater for the winter!!!

I don't want to deal with warrenty issues or recalls. Reliability is key. I leave my bike 300 miles away in the winter and don't like bringing it home every other trip and pray that I have it back for my next trip.

I voted yamaha because it would have a diff lock on it. The quality of the Honda with a lot better engineering and features!

I would say Honda.....BRP seems to have a weak dealer system and poor warranty honor.   I've had 4 Hondas with NO problems.   Just ride and change the oil......

Of course you don't have any problems...It's hard to tear up something with a simple motor, simple suspension, simple handling, simple controls, simple, simple, simple....

Honda's have outdated technology, single cylinder engines and transmissions made for cars...We all know Can-Am is the leader in putting HP to the dirt. Yes, they have their problems, but every bike does...except a Honda...why? Because it's just so darn simple...HeHe.

Love that new SxS by the way....HaHa.

I voted BRP cause when out on the trail I get hungry and you could just strap on some bacon to the left leg and some scrambled up eggs on the right and with a 1000, soon you'd have breakfast :)

I said Yamaha. the 700 has power steering. a 1000 would probably have A/C and cruise control.:tg:

Don't you think posting this in the Honda section will skew the results?
