What do you guys think BRP should build? Engine size? Sporty or ute? Narrow like RZR? Lets hear what you think.

I would like to see a sporty one with more utility than a RZR yet still narrow enough to negotiate the trails. The 800 would be OK but would be moving a lot of weight. I think a 1000 v-twin would be more appropiate

I think its gonna be a lot like the rzr. It will feature the 800ccrotax, but it would be good timing to release the 1000cc vtwin

I guess I'll be the stick in the mud here...I would rather it be sized closer to the Rhino. I like having the bed to haul stuff in, and the "bed" on a RZR won't hold much...

Engine size, I'd like to see something up around 1000cc, the 993 from the Spyder would be great if it could be set up for off road use.

They need to be sure and get some good suspension under that thing, piggybacks of some sort with a stiffer spring would be good, anything, just not the stock outty shocks or anything resembling them...HeHe...

And they need to put out some cool colors as well...Yellow, Red and Camo are gettin' old...Maybe the silver from the Max Ltd or a nice blue would be good.

A roof and half windshield would be great as an add package, the front end needs to be set up to take a winch easily and adding the winch wiring in the factory harness would be great as well.

I wonder what an XT type package for a SxS would consist of? Front and Rear Bumpers, a roof, better guages, and a winch package....

I've been thinking about this for a while and I know this would be an expensive machine, but it would be soooooo cool...:tg:

The 800 would work well as long as they keep it under 1000lbs. Something in between the Rhino and RZR would be nice. The width and ground clearance of the Rhino is good with maybe a more sporty suspension, shocks with rezzies. Air intakes up nice and high. Some storage space, not as big of a bed as the Rhino but definatley bigger than the RZR. A hood that opens like the Rhinos, makes maintenance very easy. Steering stabilizer or power steering. Wheels with 4/110 bolt pattern like just about every other machine. Analog guage package, temp, volts, oil pressure and fuel maybe. Hmmm, what else...lol Oh,and a price tag that the average Joe can afford.

All wheel steering sounds like more problems to me, didn't a few auto makers try that a few years back...Honda prelude? (or was it honda qualude) :)

I'd want one that would dominate in all competition. I love the youtube videos where outlanders and renegades destroy all others. Rock crawling, mud swimming, trail stomping badass SXS. Oh, ya, keep it under 10k too

Yeah under 12 would be more realistic I think.....BRP really doesn't seem to care if they are competitive dollar wise

well I have herd some more info on the SxS from can am. From what I hear it is gonna be about 50in wide like the RZR and is gonna be all around better. They are gonna have a 1200cc 3cylinder engine that makes over 100hp. They are supposed to be unveiling it on May 31st, and that it may be in production by fall 08. This thing is gonna be bad as can be. You gotta remember who is making it and BRP is one that likes to be on top.

wonder if they will stuff the 1200cc in the outlander after the SxS comes out.

here is a sneak peak of the power plant they are supposed to use

Isn't that the same 1200 they use in their snowmobile? Looks a little tall for an ATV and being a 3 cyl. probably fairly heavy as well. I bet it hauls A$$!!

BTW, if it's set to go into production this fall this means they've already had it out being tested for a while now. There is a BRP dealer only invite here this month at Prarie City, I'm gonna see if my dealer will hook me up to be able to visit, could be interesting.
