hello,
My yellow '06 800XT has clocked about 1600 miles on it since I bought it in September of '05. Its rolled forward, backwards, upside down, sideways and is still going strong.
The last year has been a disappointment. My riding buddy lost his nerve so the 800 has seen little more than the backyard. The tires are trashed, the frame is bashed, the front coils are squashed but the heart's still pumpin'

Need some folks to ride with in the VA, MD, PA, WV area (The Cove, Edinburg/Woodstock, Greenridge, or elsewhere) Also looking for a reasonable solution to the front suspension problem. The BRP warranty front springs and struts only have 240 non-agressive miles on them and they are already sagging.

I'm new to the site and need to do some navi. I'll try to post some pics of my handy work.

BASHED: most people are putting the rear lower springs on the front. after the dealer wouldn't help me w warranty, i finally bought some on-line, pulled the shocks myself and had a local shop change them. took about 5 min and he charged me $10 DEFINATELY worth it. i think about $65 total. the stock front lower springs are junk, mine were collapsed when brand new.

I just bought a set of Crutchfield extremes shocks, dual stage front and single stage rear, as well as, a Precision steering stabilizer from Ed Crutchfield. He reccomended this site. So, here I am. I'm in Northeastern California. I have an 2006 800 Outlander Max, 26" Bighorns, home made UHMWP (polyethelene) skid plate/A-arm protectors, multi mount winch and home made dog box with rear storage access. I do everything with it...hunt, ride, site see with wife and dog, etc.

I too am here to learn and share but I'm only moderately computer literate.

Just got an '06 Outy with 52 hours on it.Went to the local dealer to transfer warranty and asked if mods (ITP 589's and a snorkle) would void the warranty and he said he would honor it no matter what I added on.

So what I thought was a deal has led to nearly a 1000 bucks of stuff on the way and looking at more.

Still wonder how long before my left foot dosent look for a shifter to go forward.

mod88 #438. Check out our sponsor ATV Outfitters for your skid plates. You do need them
