ALL-TERRAIN vehicles from two manufacturers have been recalled to fix failing brakes and drive pulleys that can fly apart and cause injuries. Bombardier is recalling its 2006 Outlander after the discovery that the ATV's drive pulley can break, causing fragments to spin out. Transport Canada warns that the high-speed projectiles could injure or kill riders or bystanders. Dealers have been advised to replace the pulley inner flange. Transport Canada said no injuries have been reported. The problem was uncovered in dynamometer testing. In Arctic Cat's 2006 Prowler XT, rear brake pads can become misaligned or even be ejected from the floating caliper assembly, says Transport Canada. Further, the government agency that looks after vehicle safety says the brake pedal assembly may bend when subjected to high loads, such as in an emergency stop. Dealers will inspect and, if required, replace the brake discs and pedal assembly.

From what I recall there was only a very few affected. If you want to review recalls for quads, just type in atv recalls in your search engine, you will see thousands being recalled of the other manufactures.

This Outlander recall was from October 11th, 2005.  There were only 230 affected IIRC. BigDozer66
