Yes there is a thread on Highlifter, with pics of the machine wile it was still at the dealership and now several pics with mods on it,  that have been provided by its new owner. They are shipping. Last figures I herd were there were only 30 or 40 shipped before AC shut down for the holiday. It looks like there will be more shipping next week. Its been setup for mudding so its got snorkles and huge mud tires on it. The Guy likes to mud and has already refused to race those that have offered.

I didn't start this thread to start  a "feud", I started it because it's good news for all that AC has finally started to ship. It will make everyone happy, including 800 bomb owners, cause now they'll finally have somone to race, where it will be close.

If the Cat is faster, so be it, 3 years on top is plenty for any manufacturer, it will eventually lead to someone coming out with an actuall 1000(+)cc engine. If it's Rotax/can-am, then they're back on top, and on goes the war and the spending. Just what the quad-makers want.

Well I have a delima now, the original dealer that was close to my home in Oklahoma,  that I use to have a deposite with, calls this morrning to tell me that he has an E-mail that a T-cat is on a freight truck and do to arrive today or tomorrow. 2 Weeks ago they said early Febuary, and I already knew there was one that was released to a dealer close to where I work here in Kansas. So after getting this information, I got my deposite back form the one in Oklahoma, and was verbaly commited to the dealer here in Kansas. I have no doubt that either dealer can find another home for the machine I don't end up taking, but after months of specualtion and so forth, I now am looking at options on 2 of them. I only want 1 untill the first one at least prooves itself. Man what to do now?

Tell them whoever can put the machine in front of you first will get your money. The other will have no problem selling the other one.

Awesome guys! I hope you all enjoy the machine and it serves you all well. I personal hope it dominates the Outlander in every way possible! Why? Competition is great and Can AM will have to come up with something better. Only helps the consumers get a better product for the money. Oh yea, Cat is an American company so its hard not to pull for them.

I think that brings up a good point, with Can-am shifting most of its production to Mexico, and AC coming out with a solid top notch machine. I think Can-am maybe looking at some lost sales in 2008.

I just hope all the hype is worth it since I don't think anybody has really raced a production model T-cat against anything that I am aware of. I'm thinking the A/C guys should be carefull so you don't have to eat some words???.....GOTT

I think it would be the mag writers that would be eating their words. the guys on the forum have only had what they have been told to go on. which is way different from having one and you doing the talking first hand.I hope its everything they have hoped it would be. its been a long time for some to be without a ride.

Let's don't starting counting those chickens until they've hatched...I see a couple of you lucky fella's have got dibs on new TC's...Great for you, I'm glad to see the Production is beginning to run on these long awaited bikes.

We'll hold judgement on which one is best until you guys get them home and run them for a while.

I see CC's post above, it sure didn't take those Highlifter boys long to slap some laws and snorks on one did it...HeHe.

Looks like the party is about to get started, I hope it was worth the wait...

Now if Can-Am would just release that darn 1000 SxS!!!!

Those guys on highlifter are all about the Mud over there. The one in that pic was setup like that right from the dealership. Getting a ride review on such a setup really did me very little good.

Now this guy on Artic chat, his is pretty much stock except he added some bumpers when he got it home. From his first ride report, the machine sounds pretty dang strong. http://www.arcticchat.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=72263

"woooo hoooooo" ONE mile??  Thats hardly a review!  :whs:

Just to keep things in perspective, I doubt you'll hear many new owners have anything but GLARING reviews of this machine upon it's initial release.  I'm sure it's an awsome machine just a bit on the heavy side IMO.

Well we know it does exist now!  LOL  I live right near some rice fields so I'd at least be able to get a "few"miles on it.   I got my Outlander home late on a Friday and we were up in the mountains the next morning.  I got to ride it up and down the street a few times to make sure everything worked.

I got the call this morrning, mine is in, and they are getting it prepped as we speak. I plan to pick it up tonight or first thing in the morrning. Since I still have one of my Outlanders and a buddy has one of my old ones, I should be able to get a decent review comparing them here in the next few weeks. Right now we just had another snow storm pass through last night. Now I just have to get it picked up and figure out how far I am going to have to haul it to get a chance to ride. LOL
