Actually, several of these Arctic cat posts were begun in the Can-am forum, and were moved to where they belong,   so now I get notified when there are new and exciting posts over in the arctic cat area.. So in reality.. I think the AC guys have been seeing what the competition is up to. Then again, is there really any competition? :)

Its the same crowd, people in these forums are ATV enthusiest and, to me what seems to be a vast majority of the Forum junkies myself included are also power junkies, so when a new big bore machine comes out thats larger than anything else on the market, its going to get the people talking about it. I am possitive that was Artic cats whole point in making such a large bore machine. Thats what happening, everyone is talking about it. I would venture to say that the majority of the Outlander owners today, never owned a BRP quad prior to the 800s release. I think these big trophy models do a lot for the mfgs in terms of name recognition and marketing in general.

You guys are sure proud of something that hasn't even hit the dirt yet. There are a couple of well respected forum posters that have cancelled their 950 orders after talking to one of the prototype test riders. If it turns out to be a monster, it will be good for all of us because it raises the bar. But, I will believe it when I see it.

Who is the couple. I know of only one and I think it had as much to do with his wife wanting a new car as problems with the cat. LOL

After spending the weekend riding in Colorado, as I like to do this time of year. I have to say we hit some trails that have me wishing I had a little more ground clearance. After having an old popo and KQ make short work of several trails that just trashed my new poly skids on my outlander, I have a new respect for ground clearence. Even if the cat is not realy any faster I know just where I could use such a machine next summer. LOL

Even if the kitty is faster (which I doubt) Im sticking with Can Am/Bomb. Im so happy with the performance, ride, agility, etc. etc. of the Outlander, I cant see myself switching. I own 2 Outlanders and a DS650 and love them all. They are all tryed and true.

I heard once (wink) that the 650 and 700 cats have equal or less hp than the 500 Outlander, on a dyno. Hmmm, makes you wounder dont it? Does that mean the 950 will be equal to the 650 Outlander? Hypothetically speaking of course...:thumb2:

dude?????

nitemares?????:roflao:

old hat????

big dog????

lack of performence????

real hp????

Lets start with "lack of performence". What other quad right now out performs the Outlander? Facts please, no opinion. How about "real hp". What exactly is "real hp" in your mind?

You sure are putting alot of confidence in a machine that isnt even out yet. How stupid are you going to feel IF this kitten is slower, weeker, heavier, clumsier, and simply doesnt out perform the Outlander?

There's been a little talk about 4 prototypes were put out to the magazine riders and two of them got busted up in testing.  Anybody else heard this rumor?

The latest info I have is shipping dates have been moved out to Nov-Dec. Some dealers might see them early Nov. at best

Mtnyouty, I think only 1 of the proto types are still running around. The mags try everything they can to see what they are made of. ATV rider just climbed something they shouldn't have and rolled the one they had. The other two that were wrecked I am not sure who or how they got wrecked. I herd those preproduction machine were worth something like 80k each.
