Maybe they just haven't decided how much they will "de-tune" them yet?  Get a few out there and get a reaction from the general public first.  How hard would it be to just tell the dealers "set the ecu at such and such" and presto, an extra 15 HP.  Just LIKE THEY CAN DO WITH OURS DAMNIT!!

OSO, I am glad you left the other thread  on the Can-am forum, it might not be the best place for it but, thats where everyone seems to like to hang out and chat. It seems there is a lot of interest in the topic.

I am guessing here but I bet most of the Can-am guys myself included all bought can-ams for the big power and not just the brand name. I know I never gave muh thought to owning a Can-am untill they put the 800 v-twin in the Outy. Same goes for the big kitty, never was all that interested in the AC product line untill they came out with this new 950. I test road a v-2 a few years back, but it was a slug compared to the Prairies I was already rinding.

I bought canam cause the yami dealer didnt call me like they said they would. canams side profile was the closest I could find to the grizz so I went and sat on one. once I found out I could sit one one for several hours and not be uncomfortable I bought it :)  I've sat on the ACs and dont think I could sit there a long time and not hurt
