its funny to hear all you canned ham guys picking the cat apart.

one thing for sure i had an outty and sold it with 285 miles due to the visca lock took 4 ever to lock with 29.5 laws the shocks are ng, plastic clutch case leaked like a siv.

every time i used the winch chk eng light come on and also the exz would  melt and deform the seat and side panals other than that it was a good trail machine and thats all

my 07 650 h1 went more places than my outtie would even think of and thats just a fact real diff lock, real 4x4 shift on the fly and real racks, shocks, plastics etc.

all i got to say is when my new tcat comes in im gonna feed it CANNED HAMM (BURP):dan:

You wish it was a 1000 single lung motor? It would vibrate you off the seat.

My 800 is absolutely the heaviest ATV I'd choose to own and I think it is too heavy personally.  To go above and beyond that is taking it beyond recreational.  I can't help but wonder if A/C isn't shooting for some of the military contract Polaris seems to own in the ATV market?

I find the whole my d*CK is bigger the your d*ck knuckle dragging, neanderthal mentality when it comes to who has the "biggest and baddest" of anything to be juvenile.

Bring the pussy(cat) on, I'll pound it with my Outtie!    :yikes
is that all you can do is bash on the new cat before it even gets out????or are you just upset because the new cat is going to use your canned ham for breakfast:dan:

Dude, learn SARCASM when you read it!

Personally I think this looks like a hell of an ATV BUT, BUT my concern would be with it's overall weight.  There is a reason Honda refuses to build an ATV over 600 lbs.

"pounding that kitty with my outtie"  Did you NOT get the play on words there??  Come on man, I thought that was pretty damn funny!

When the Outlander 800 came along everyone was bashing it!

The Thunder Cat will have some of the same first year model glitches Can Am has now fixed on the Outlander.    I've pounded my 800 about as hard as it should be with no real mechanical issues beyond the damn battery strap, if the frame is like a "tin can" then I should NOT be riding it.  I've driven through a LOT of water with no leaks on my CVT.    Unfortunately MOST problems are from abuse or lack of maintenance so I take most of what I read here with a grain of salt.

The torque dosent make sence for that size engine.. It would have to have somewhere around 200 hp to come in at that torque rating, no way Hosie. The hp to weight ratio would make it unsoundly fast and dangerous. Dream on.

The Torque is a marketing number pulled from a output shaft (Not a crank shaft #), post tranny and gear reduction is in play making the number worthless to compare with other machines. It was a pure marketing move. The real hp numbers form the crank should be out soon, I believe the California regulations require it and it will be posted soon.

I for one think that the referance of the outty frame being "tin" is a bit of an exaggeration.. the problem with the frame is that some sort of skid system doesn't come standard on the outty like some other quads.. easily corrected. As for the thin racks... lets face it, every bit of heavy duty racks and other doo-dads simply add more weight. I prefer the sport like handling of my 800 over any other utility quad I have ridden, this type of handling doesn't come with a 800-900 pound rig. And as for the can-am domination..well, you guys said it, we didn't! :)

i find it funny that people are already calling it the best and it has not gone to production yet .

the preproduction outy 800 was 21hp more than the production quad .

i am shure that the thunder puss will be a great quad by AC standards or they would not waste time and money on it .

after speaking with a guy thAT HAS  rode the kitty and a outy and a renny he says the renagade is still a bit faster .

hype, is exactly what the name inplies... I have said before that if the thing turns out to be a beast.. then we'll call it just that. However, its almost like the AC guys have been waiting jealously to have their own big boy to brag about...while we Can-am guys have been out riding ours for a few years now. :tg:
