The Big Aspen part of the ride went well with no mishaps. We did have a couple of adventurous souls that followed  the "wrong" trail and discovered a N. Minnesota peat bog, headlight deep:roflao: As usual we didn't get too many good pics but I saw several other cameras there so maybe others will have better ones.

Here are a few from us taking a break at a trail shelter.

It was great to meet and ride with you guys and hope to meet more of you tomorrow at Thistledew!!

More to come........

outlandish I don't know what happened, but while we were at gilbert for some reason wildleg had to tow me back to the truck. I won't say to much but zac got a picture of it this time! just a little hint I changed my oil 4 times already, and I'll have to do it 1 more time in the morning before thistledew. It was great to meet and ride with everyone and I'll see some of you tomorrow morning.

Yeah I blame zac he told me it was only about 1 1/2 feet deep but it was more like 4 1/2 feet deep. I think zac is a bad influence on everyone (me). :roflao:

Made it back home, I was getting a little shut eye on the way when Bigsioux said he would drive. LOL was his turn anyway. I was tempted to jump back in the pickup and head back for the Sat. ride.

I had a good time and it was nice to meet everyone, (great people). Thanks for the pleasure.

Zac41: Thanks for the wash job at gilbert, that was cool.

Bigfcat: Have you run out of changes yet or did you have to do laundry?

Everyone: Have a good time at Thistledew on Sat.

Well how did the ride go today? I am not happy that I was unable to make, but things pretty much went to hell at work and I was the on-call supervisor so I had to go in and clean things up. Needless to say, 10 hours later I finally went home and crashed, only to be back at it again today. Hopefully bigfcat didn't have anymore excursions in the water. For the record I told him that the mud pit was 3 feet deep, of course it was deeper, but I never claimed to be an expert.

Bigfcat was there today, his clutch was a little sticky but he rode anyway. He also got to pull Lars out of a hole after his Brute Force ingested a lot of water. Had to trailer it. Outlander400's machine had the FAIL message again and the battery was too dead to run the winch so he was done too. Here are a couple pics of Lars's Brute.......

Only about 7 were there today. Rained all the way up and then cleared off as soon as we got there. I was in the lead again. I told them big mistake to have me lead:roflao:. I was lost and on the wrong trail...... I pulled up to that hole and stopped to look it over and Lars went around me and down he went......blub, blub, blub...it died and sucked in a ton of water.....

Still working on draining fluids that don't belong.

.so...Outlandish goes thru every mud puddle except one.....did he intend for me to stop or was he tempting me.

I'm thinking temptation....so I moved in!

The rest is history.

Thanks for the tow back to the parking lot BigFCat.  :urok:I appreciate it !

Great to meet ya'll all.  It was a good day for a ride...sorry my misadventure cut it short.

PS....if I'd have thought to drain the CVT case..it would have been about 20+lbs. lighter for the tow back to the lot.  FULL !   I guess hanging with all those Bombs made me forget I HAVE a drain plug. :tg:

Ahhhh yes, temptation. Well there always has to be someone that falls. I know I have on many occasions.

Bigfcat, good to here that you got to return the favor and tow somebody else back. Did you get all that fine sand out of everywhere?

Great ride this weekend.  Even with BigFCat and Lars float testing their machines, the weekend was fun.  I will get my Outie into the shop this week and let the old warranty do its thing.  If anyone wants to ride WI trails or Red Dot let me klnow.  Have fun in SD Outlandish and Big Jake.  Should be fun. Thank goodness there are no incriminating pictures of my ride buried in Iron Range Mud.......Maybe next time!
