FYI ....

Minnesota law states that as long as your machine is currently registered where you live, you do not need any additional permits.

It would be a good idea to get reservations at your motel or campground well in advance of the ride.

Bring your rain gear and some warm clothes just in case.

Bring your own food and beverages of your choice.

Helmets not required. It's your head!

Anyone coming up early enough on Thursday and staying near me (Aurora, Hoyt Lakes, Gilbert, Biwabik, Virginia) Let me know and we can do a ride locally on Thursday also possibly ride on Sunday

Drawings for prizes will be held on Saturday at the Thistledew trailhead. If you are at the ride on Friday but not coming on Saturday, be sure to let me know and your name will be added anyway

:aniwh::aniwh::aniwh::aniwh:.....5 weeks to go.......

Hello all, I am new to the forum or should say this is my first post. Just a couple of questions for you all. Is this invite for anybody to come ride and does anybody plan on bringing their kids along on this ride? This is a family thing for us. My kids have been riding along with my wife and I on all trail rides since they were a year old (they are now 7 and 8) and I guess I was wondering if anybody brings theirs along.

kev-val welcome to the forum!!!

Kids are fine. I don't know who's bringing them along but as long as they are supervised and not goofing off on their machines, no problem. There's a good chance my 14 year old may come with. I believe ATVing is a family sport. Just to let you know the first day we will be riding about 50 miles and the 2nd day about 30 or so but we will be stopping quite often along the trails to take breaks. These trails are pretty easy going with no technical riding.

Thanks for joining the forum!!!

Thanks for the reply outlandish,

This ride sounds like a blast and I would really like to come and meet everyone. Going to have to work on that as I believe my wife works that weekend. I will definitley get back to you on whether we can or not. My girls are still to little to ride their own atv on the trails legally, I was just trying to get some input as to whether anyone else will be bringing their wives and kids.

Cool, hope you can make it. The only thing I was wondering about was whether your kids could keep up. Problem solved!! It's going to be a blast meeting everyone and putting faces to the usernames.

I will be staying in Hoyt Lakes at the inlaws.  A list with where everyone will be staying would be great.  I live in Duluth so I can stay here as well.  Looking forward to meeting all of you.

Problems, problems problems.

currently, the Brute is at the dealer....

....it's broke !

fuel....check

spark...check

start...nope.  Me thinks it has to be a valve or timing problem.

So..between Brute problems and work schedules...I may be out.
