Just seeing if there is any interest in a NE MN spring ride. Late May/early June time frame.  I'm thinking a 2 day thing with one day riding the Red Dot/ Moose Walk trails in Silver Bay RED DOT   MOOSE WALK   These 2 trails are joined making for over 50 miles.

The other day I am thinking THISTLEDEW TRAIL  which is about 30 miles of trails.

Any suggestions are welcome.

If there is enough interest I can start planning this and will post motel / campground information etc.....

That's a pretty busy time of year for me....but I'd surely try to make it over for at least one day.

My experiences in getting together with those I've met in the virtual world have always been good experiences.  Dispels the "axe murdurer syndrome" myth.

I sure would try to make it, the only problem I have is the dog and if it's during the week days.

Depending on when it is and what shift I'm on, I would be interested.

Don: Very interested. It's a 500 mile drive but we have the time. Us old farts wil need a motel somewhere in the area, if we don't rent an RV.

Count us in. You call it.

My wife and I are interested in going I do have a couple questions, one; is it going to be a Sat & Sun ride or a weekday ride? Second would you ride the Red Dot /Moose Walk say on a Sat and is there a campground that allows atvs so you can ride to these trails cause my hauler is also my camper, and the Thistledew on Sun. The reason why is I work Sun eve so we can come up on Fri. and would have to leave on Sun morn.

Yea I would like to go if you would let popos in the groop. As far as camping, Wildhurst campground just north of finland has the trail going right through it . The family and I stayed there twice last year and thought it was a ok. The only time I cant go would be 2nd week in june, going to st anthony id to play in the dunes.

Survey, Its like Ive been sentenced to life with no parole here were I work 27 years and counting, might be able to take a day off depending on when Outlandish and others decide on what days they can go out and play, and so it wont conflict with my piano lessons!

The Wildhurst is nice place to stay. However about 8 years ago we stayed there for softball districts, and let me tell from experience......and sleeping in my buddies car.......that the owner only takes so much as far as boozing and noise goes. But it's a good thing that I have matured since then.:roflao:

Glad to hear that. Nothing like sitting up listening to people whoop it up all night when you have a ride planned for early in the morning. Kudos to Wildhurst! If i had a camper, I would consider staying there for the ride.

Well not really. The trails open May 15th provided they are dried out enough. I was thinking to let the guys coming the furthest pick some dates that are good for them and take it from there

Just a note that the hotel in Hoyt Lakes gives ATVAM members a pretty good discount if you are one of them. I stayed there last year, it was nice, also have pool if wanted.
