OK guys we are thinking of riding the Nemadji Trails this year. We are looking at the weekend of Sept 13th & 14th.

Looking for input......

Good, Bad? Will need someone there to lead that somewhat knows the trails. Lets hear what you think.....

Me and Sr. will go...I'm sure GOTT will, too. Sr. knows all the trails up there, so he could lead the group...I know rhino is always up there; he might know a few places to stay at.:)

Gott it would most likely be a one day ride on the 13th and anyone that wanted to stay another day could. Thats how we have always done it

Love the idea of having Folgers Sr. guide us

There is camping available at a small campground there and at various places throughout the woods. A lot of people just pull into a clearing and set up camp there. All the sites are primative with no hookups. There is a couple Motels within 25 or so miles. Nemadji is about 100 miles from the twin cities and I would guess about 100-125 miles from the Iron Range. It is right off of Hwy 23 about 35-40 miles south of Duluth. Best place in the State for riding IMHO.....GOTT  :ban:

There is a small motel (about 4-5 rooms) next to the bar in Nickerson. Don't know much about it, but it's close. There is also a nice motel at Banning Junction which is on hwy 23 at I-35. Good place to eat across the street too. I'm planning to ride Sat. and head home. Suggest bringing a compass and or GPS if you're riding by yourselves for the first time. There's a ton of trails that aren't on the maps.....:dan:.....GOTT

I have to wait to see how close my daughters due date is before I can commit to this ride for the whole weekend.

Just something to think about, that is opening day for grouse hunting, so you may have some hunters around too.

Yeah, but it's a BIG trail system...I think there's enough room for both hunters and ATVers...

If there are grouse at Nemadji, I should bring the BBQ with this time. I wasn't prepared for that grouse on the Soo Line. :omg:LMAO

Hey Cements, The big girl wants to know if your camping. She says " if Tracey is camping, then I will camp too, otherwise I might not go".....she bought a pop up but doesn't want to camp alone LOL
