Has anybody had any luck disconnecting this annoying safety feature? Why cant they leave the simple things in life alone?

too many simple people out there. U can hook the two wires connected to the brake switch together to bypass it,but i dont see why you'd want to.Squeezing the brake lever in is pretty easy and safer.

oops. i meant brake LIGHT switch, which also means the brake light would stay on.

Are you saying that you have to hold the brake to start your bike? Mine wont start in anything other than Park of Neutral, but I dont have to hold the brake ever.

I beleive it only works with the left brake lever. Sounds dumb but that is how mine is.

not on 08 Renegades, they finally got it right, SEPERATE front and rear brake control, mine has a switch for the light on the front brake lever, and it uses the pressure switch to turn on the light if i use the rear brake like the other CanAm models, mine will start im gear if either lever us used, i bet Russell's front brake switch is stuck, mine has done it once
