"If you ride an ATV long enough you will have the bars ripped from your hands eventually. The Precision Stabilizer reduces the impact felt at the bars when your tire hits rocks, roots, stumps, or even another rider."

I know several of you guys already have the stabilizer. Are they fairly easy to install?

Yeah, it's fairly easy. :tg:  It took me about 1 hour to install it, but now that I know the ins and outs, it would only take about half an hour once I had my machine elevated.

A couple of suggestions:

1.  Hoist the front of the ATV up and remove the front tires.

2.  Pry the plastic clamp up that holds the radiator hose (left side of machine) and tie it out of the way.

3.  Install the 4 mounting bolts into the stabilizer, but do not tighten fully.  Instead, snug them enough that the stabilizer doesn't move easily and check to make sure that you can get a wrench or socket onto each of the 4 bolts.  I used a rubber mallet to center the stabilizer and checked that I could put the wrench on each bolt.  Then I tightened them all.

4.  I centered the handlebars and then centered the linkage before tightening the clamp on the steering shaft.

5.  I also noticed that when I reinstalled the radiator hose, it was very close to rubbing on the newly installed stabilizer, so I tie wrapped the hose up and away from the linkage.

Hope this helps everyone.  I haven't had a chance to ride my machine since installing the stabilizer, but have plans to ride in a couple of weeks. :ban:

For those of you with the KewlTek split brake kit, you can mount the stabilizer with a little effort and some time. I had to do some rerouting of the brake hoses and had to grind a little off the stabilizer mounting plate but it does work.

I'm no mechanic and installed mine the night before last by following the directions that came with it.  Everything that Crykid said is dead on and I did the exact same thing (or at least figured out the hard way...) tie wrapping the radiator hose and all.  Eventhough it wasn't rubbing...it seemed too closed to leave be.

I am taking my Renegade to WV in early Sept.  I'll post back my thoughts on this stabilizer.  I've only ridden the Renegade once for a few hours before without the stabilizer.  Since I use my hands for work...I figured this thing was like a small insurance policy.  I've caught trees before and small stumps in the underbrush and almost broke my thumb and wrist.

I'm installing Crutchfield suspension right now, the Stabilizer is next on the list. I ride with guys who have these and they swear by them...Chappy ur right, cheap insurance for someone who works with their hands... I've had my bike try to relocate my thumb up next to my elbow...it hurts.

The stabilizer is one mod that I have done that is truly worth every penny. When I had it on my Outlander, none of my friends could keep up with me on the trails. I have now installed it on my Renegade and am waiting for skid plates to give it a real test but I can already feel a big difference just from a few short rides.

What ATV models do you sell the precision dampener for?  Just the Can-am, or others as well?

I've got a Grizzly with EPS right now.  Doesn't necessarily need a stabilizer with the EPS, but I've had a Precision stabilizer on a YFZ 450 before, and the stabilizer did a better job of damping impacts than the EPS does, and it was adjustable.
