Ok guys I was at my dealer today. Here's the scoop: It is a 650 twin, 54 hp and the same body, suspension etc as the 800 except for the wheels which are steel and it actually weighs a little more than the 800. Sounds like in some test runs the 650 Outty beat the 750 Brute and the 800 Polaris.....but we knew it was going to kick ass....it's a Rotax!!:roflao:

Sounds like I might want to look into one of these, I dont care how fast it is, you can only go so fast thru the woods anyway, I am looking for if it gets the power to the ground, you know what for.

Did they say when it would be out?? This year yet?

Thats great, Nicky's Grizz will be up for sale and we are buying the 650.

Why are they calling it a 650? Instead of a 660, I think the ccs will be rated at 660ccs?

Ruapache I 'm not sure when we will see it but I think there will be a press release next week.

Heres a part of the BRP website header that I snagged somewhere off the web. It is not on their site yet but will be in full size of course

"Proof that the lust for power runs in the family"  :lolol:  I love it!

I wonder why it weighs more than the 800?  Did they beef up the frame or add standard skid plates?

$7,899.00 for the XT model. Makes ya wonder if 150cc is really worth the extra $1,600.00. Tough call, cause ya want that extra 150cc but Damn it'll cost ya.

$7899 is for the base model not the XT. That makes it a $700 difference. Man you had me blood boiling for a bit there:roflao:

I know it was only $800 difference in the base model and xt, that is what the 800 is here in Rochester. Anyway thats a lot of money for a 650 when I am looking at about $5900 for a new prairie 700. I know its SRA but its not a big deal to me, I would just as soon have that. And the bomb 650 its not efi either I dont think.

RU the 650 is EFI. It is the exact same bike as the 800 except less cc's, 52hp instead of 62hp and it has steel wheels which bumps up the weight by 10 lbs........

$5900 for a 700 prairie......well you get what you pay for, the Prairie is a good bike at a good price if you don't want the power, ride comfort and handling of the Outlander

In the last issue of Dirt Wheels it says the 650 does not have fuel injection like the 800. Is this right?
