Looking to go near Black River Falls or Osseo area?  Lots of interesting terrain and trails galore with little to no riders, but has anyone been there?

My wife and I go there a lot its close and the trail system is nice and the people are very atv friendly. We stay in Fairchild and camp at Briarwood campgrounds they allow atvs and based on the trail, I have some pics in the gallery of some of there trails, Clark County has a fair amount of muddy trails but a lot of sand based trails also, they have play areas fenced off with mud pits and some have jumps and mx style tracks, Clark connects with Black River Falls trails there trails are mostly sand so if you go there make sure its after a good rain cause they get very dusty when they are dry. Trails in the four County area have a lot of places to get gas or have a burger and beer. As far as traffic on the trails the hoilday weekends they get very busy its nothing to see 20 or more  wheelers at some of the pit stops, and trails are full of 10 to 15 atvs in a group, the terrain in the four Countys are mostly sand/dirt some hills but very easy trails good place for everyone to ride, so be carefull. If your looking for a clean and cheap Hotel theres the 10-7 hotel in Osseo with a spur to the main trail, also gas and food with in walking distance. If you have any more ? I'll be happy to help you.

Is it worth the trip?  We (GOTTOYS and myself) were thinking about going out there for a weekend possibly and just having a blast.

I'm back living in Eau Claire and love to hit the trails, they're so close to home! I mostly ride near Augusta/Rock Dam down towards Black River Falls. The Eau Claire/Clark County trails opened the first of May, Jackson County opened today... so we'll be there tomorrow! I'm usually on some part of the system every Wednesday and every other Saturday (have to work the alternate Saturday!). The trails get pretty dusty if there isn't any rain but there are plenty of miles to put on and nice little stops for lunch. There are some real nice sections that run along the river to Snyder Park just west of Nielsville. Very senic. Also few very nice "intensive use" areas... one near Rock Dam and one just north of the Hwy 10 lot off one of the forest roads. Lots of fun. Last week I joined the Quad County Club so hopefully I'll get to ride even more!

I'm 30 minutes from Jackson & Clark County trails. Jackson County is closed now until December 15. Clark County only closes during the deer gun season Nov 17-25 and the late season gun hunt Dec 6-9.

I prefer Clark County. Better scenery. Snyder Park loop. Wildcat Park. Jackson County is usually really busy weekends. Middle of the state and EZ access from the interstate.

I'm alway looking for new people to ride with. Post here or send a PM if/when you are coming down.
