Picked up my sons new ds250 on saturday, we think this machine is the bomb. in the trails it does not matter who rides it the ds ends up in front, the ds is very predictable, the power is easy to control, it tracks well at speed and overall a very fun machine to ride. I have raced and rode many machines in my life, I started riding at 12 and i am 50 yrs old now and have rode many bikes and quads in those years, I find myself really enjoying this ATV. while the ds does not have the top speed of my LT250z , about 4 bike lengths in 1/4 mile , it is a great well rounded machine that is quick and nimble in the bush despite its weight. Off the line it beats the LT by 2-3 lenghts till about 3rd gear then the LT slowly pulls away. Oh and wheelies are no problem hold the rear brake on give it some throttle let go of the brake, a little tug and its up and going . I have been big dog on the trails for years now because of years of riding but now with the DS between his legs my son may be challenging me for leader. The look on his face when he goes by me is well worth it . Great machine worth every penny IMO
