Somebody please!

Is there ANY aftermarket oil filters for this thing???

I mean $6 for a oil filter is pretty stiff.... well, as often as I change my oil anyway.

If any of you know of any aftermarket oil or air filters.... let us all know.

Many thanx.

How often do you change oil? Do you use synthetic? On all my cars I use Amsoil and never change before 15,000 miles. Many new cars are calling for 15-25.000 mile intervals (BMW, Corvette). They come with synthetic (Mobil 1) right off the assembly line.  In the 15-20 new cars the wife and I have had, each run about 100,000 miles not a one ever burnt oil or had a lubrication related failure.

Because an ATV is  exposed to a lot of dust I'll worry more about the air cleaner. Dirt can't get in the engine except through the air cleaner.

Even just 10,000 miles at an average speed of 10 mph would take 1000 hours. That is 4hrs a day, 5 days a week for a YEAR. That's more riding than anyone does that I've heard of.

I try to change my oil at around 100 and then every 500 miles and I use Amsoil after the first 500 miles

For those who purchased or plan to purchase the BRP, style Heated Hand Grips. You will notice that they are pretty small in diameter, not much larger than the steel handle bar. Sooo, how are we going to fix this?

Here is what I did to solve this issue. Went out to the local Salvo Auto Parts store and picked up 2 of the cheapest Ice Scrapers they had, $6.68 for the pair. The handles are wrapped with these nice foam grips and they slid right off the srapers and over top the BRP, heated hand grips. Used Windex, to help coax them on with very little difficulty. Now the grips are of a good diameter and comfortable as well. They come in Red, Black and Blue, if you care to know.

I do understand that these foam grips will cut down on how effient the heated grips will be but for me...it's worth the trade-off.
