Have you found an auto parts store that carries the oil filter?  I can't find a replacement anywhere.

http://www.bikebandit.com/partsbandit/default.asp Just click OEM Parts then walk thru your year and so on. Found it surfing because my friend just lost the connecting rod out the crankcase. We both have the 04 outlander 400XT. Blew it on a ride we had last weekend in Canada.

Cool, links guys. I will just have to wait a while for the 2007 model fiche. I have bookmarked them both already.  Although the 2007 is pretty much the same machine as the 2006.  Its all good.
