j25 i've worked on a 650 outie and the clutching as far as the primary go's is alittle diff. not much but to answer your Q the dalton kit will and wont work.  The best thing for you to have is the green/yellow primary spring that dalton uses in the 800 kit it work's really good in the 650 outie. :)

Sorry it will not work on a 500 outie but we have a dalton primary spring that will wake up the outie's 650's & 500's on the low end and give good backshift

What exactly will the kit do for an 800?  I'm new so I don't know a lot of common stuff.

Thanks

Hey there Bob first off the kit will raise your engagment which will pull harder out of the hole also with the lighter weights it slows your shift out allowing for yet again more pull in the low to mid. range also the lighter weights will allow faster backshifting for the mud and fast trail riding along with the new primary spring.
