I got a 13' Old Town square stern that I took out all the seats and thwarts, mounted a cushion swivel chair with armrest in the middle on a 2x10". Then I got a stern mounting remote controlled Minn-Kota (30lbs?) (no longer produced), cut off the 36" shaft to 13", made a wooden battery box in the rear with a cushion on top, epoxied a transducer to the floor in back, strung the foot pad wires under the gunnel to in front of the seat.

Then I put of a pair of molded fiberglass floats on a unique cross bar kit (the floats are 4' long and shaped like float plane pontoons), the hydraulic vertical arms move up and down with the waves, and I added a extra threaded rod inside a 3/4" PVC pipe with a heim joint on each end, fastened it to the nose of the each float and back to the gunnel for a brace.

There are lidded small boxes on the gunnel on each side of the seat and a fish locator on a ram gunnel mount. Got a trailer. Glued outdoor carpeting in the bottom.

It makes a perfect one man fishing outfit. It does about 6mph and I've gone through 3' waves and it's so stable I can stand up when casting. With a 130 minute reserve AGM battery I can fish all day. I puit on oar locks and I can row along pier lines. It will run in about 8" of water because the prop is barely covered in the water.

It's the only one like it in the world, I'm sure, and it's been great fishing out of it. Now it sat in the garage for the last 2 years while I am playing around with ATVs.

I  think the float and cross bar kit company is out of business (Reinder's Outriggers in Minn)
