I just put my two trail cams out in the woods. Anybody else here use trail cam's? Once I get some pic's I will post them. Hopefully we can get a few other people here to post some of their own and get a look at what everyone will be shooting for this year. (No pun intended)

Hey Zac; how many times have you used them and any good photos. We went up scouting last weekend, picked out 2 monster to take down hopefully they will cooperate. My wifes good friend move to Wisconsin she said the deer had some diseases that you couldn't east them? That was a couple years ago though.

I use them every year. I just picked up a second digital one. I have three total, but one is 35mm and I don't use it any more. I have several good pictures, however they are on my desktop which is packed away in storage right now (long story). I am hoping to have some nice ones in the next week for this year. All the others are from years past.

Regarding WI deer, they have found some that have Chronic wasting disease, but it is not affecting the whole heard.

I was looking at the new no flash Cudde, but it's getting bad reviews.  Poor construction along with a bad batch of camera's.  I may wait till this winter and build one from scratch, becoming popular to build your own.  Just need the time!

I agree, I would only use them on a large parcel of private land.  The other benfit of the no flash Cudde is no flash to notify trespassers of a camera.

Mine are all on Private land, but I have heard of people that have had them vanish. They do make a locking system for them. I have a flash on both of mine and the deer will still be there a minute later when it snaps another picture. I guess it is preference on what you like or what. Or how much you want to spend.

On a side note, I haven't been able to get any good pic's yet. A bunch of doe's and some spotted fawns, but those pic's are dime a dozen. The big guys are still there just waiting to tease me a little longer.

Yup, I usually wait a week before moving them. Always want to make sure that they are moving like that consistently or what.

Are all of you guys using the Cudde's or a different brand.  Just curious because I have a few spots I would like to set some out but did not know exactly which ones to get.  I have heard of people making them but I do not have the time.

I had planned on buying a Cudde this fall.  But they have redesigned them this year and having issues.  I guess the entire housing is new and not as user friendly.  For instance when securing it to a tree the torque from the srew will make the battery compartement pop open and out come yoiur batteries.  Been reading about it over on archertalk.com.  I would also like to build myself, I may make a winter project out of it.

I attached a pick and hope you can see it, had to shrink the file size. Please stop by http://trailcam.net and checkout the Photo gallery to see lots of pictures taken with the Moultrie and the Bushnells. Be sure to stop by the forum and say hi!!  :tg::tg::tg:

I use the 75buck Moultrie as well and get great pics.  haven't gotten any of horns yet, but was impresed with the quality of pics i got day and night, of a few doe last year.  I just put it back out yesterday and plan on downloading again on wed.  I've got a lot of activity but i have a feeling i'm gonna be takin out a few does early on to make room.  This stand is in my back yard(swamp this year).  The only way to get to my stand right now is to take the Outty or wear waders.  i'm a freak when it comes to scent, so i'll be wearin waders probably so i don't have to deal with exhaust fumes. :ot:.  sorry.  will post a few pics of the Moultrie soon.

Hey Big, I'm out in Lapeer.  Surrounded by the Game Area.  I can walk out my front or back door to hunt:).  You bow hunt and are you ready for the opener?

Yea I bowhunt!  Mostly around my parents place in Beal City (west of Mt.Pleasant).  I've got my Bowtech shooting pretty well out to 40yards.  Headed back to southern Illinois 2nd week of Nov bowhunting.  Lost a real bruiser last year, hope for a better outcome this year.  What are some of you favorite riding areas in the state?
