Hi All!  Just bought a 2008 Max 800 Limited. Took the outty out yesterday and the front end bottomed out on me twice and was nothing that major. What's up with the front shocks or is it the springs?

What mods would you do and where is the cheapest palce to get the parts?

Thanks, Greg

:wel: You need to sit awhile and surf here. you WILL find the answers to 99% of your questions.

Site sponsors are a good place to get some stuff,  like your shock issues, they need to be tossed and replaced with Crutchfields or Possibly Elkas or Works Or Stadium.

As for other mods, like I said surf away.

Welcome aboard! the first thing most guys buy are skid plates. You can find them here http://aurorawheelers.com/forum34/

As far as shocks, I would recommend Crutchfields http://aurorawheelers.com/forum51/

If you have questions, just post them. There is a great wealth of knowledge here

I see that you have a Renegade 800 I have recently purchased one as well and love it so far, but was wondering about what exhaust you have and if you liked it. Also if you have a power commander for yours.

Just bought some front shocks and skid plates from vendors on here. I am going rock riding on Sturday and wanted the protection. I can't beleive Can Am are putting those front shocks on these Outlander Maxes. They are total junk and I should not have to be spending 450.00 for front shocks because the thing bottms out but I knew that before I bought it but did not think it would really be that bad, well it is. I hope the Crutchfield fronts will work well.

Thanks for the welcome!:)

First of all Welcome to the Board....Super bunch of guys here, no silly BS like some other boards and the BEST information on Outtys and Renegades on the Internet...

The info you have gotten so far is exactly correct...Ricochets first, then front shocks, front brake pads will be next...EBC Severe Duty pads will take care of that, check the site sponsors...

Oh and don't worry about your new Crutchfields...They will work and then some...

Just look around a while, I think any problem or issue ever encountered on an Outty has been discussed and most of the time solved right here on this Board. These guys are real pro's...:ban:

I am running the Ron Wood exhaust system. This is a full system, not a slip on. Before that when I had my Outty I had the LTE true dual system. Both these pipes are great. They both add a good amount of power and sound good doing it.....but neither is cheap! I personally am not running any fuel management but you may want to.

Heres a write up I did on the install of the Wood pipe

http://aurorawheelers.com/RWPipe/

Heres a pic of it with the spark arrestor/disc system

You can get a member discount on either pipe:

BTW Welcome to the AWF!!
