Just signed up today. I ride an 05 outlander 400. I've had it 3 seasons now and am more than pleased with it. The only times my quad gets bogged down is when the driver screws up.

So about me. I'm an old retired fart,61. I've been retired 5 years now and it's the best. I retired after 30 years with Northwest Orient Airlines. I was a counter agent for the first 15 years in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada and then transferred to Edmonton Alberta as the counter supervisor. I have 4 kids. 3 boys first, and then to make sure there were no more mistakes we adopted a girl. The kids range in age from 35 to 44. I have 3 granddaughters ages 9 to 15.

Like everyone else here I love to ride. I ride with a hardcore of 8 people. There is only 1 time of year that is definitely put aside for riding. The first 2 weeks of Oct. we all go camping. It just happens to coincide with the start of the moose season up here. Most of the guys hunt. I am one of the exceptions. I've hunted for so long now that for the most part now I don't bother. I still help to gut and skin any kills, and we all share in the proceeds. For those of you that don't know moose is great meat. No fat and a great taste. The area we usually ride in, and always camp in at this time of year is about 450 kms. north of Edmonton. There are very few times that speed counts there. It is all bush and bush trails. Power and skill is what gets you through the bogs, over the dead fall and across the creeks. It is always of prime quading. We tent when we go. we have 2 large tents. 1 outfitters tent about 14' by 16'. and another tent that is 16' by 18f. We live in the lap of luxury. We set up a cook tent that's about 10' bu 20'. We ride, tell lies, make loud bodily noises, and eat great tasting food that is unhealthy.

Well that's enough about me. Feel free to contact me or come up for a ride anytime. Just let us know.

Wilf

Hello, Wilf.  Sounds like you guys really rough it out hunting. :)

You are welcome here.  Tell us about your hunting trip on the Chit Chat board.  Also, if you have any quad comments on the Canam board.  Be glad to talk to you.

BTW, there's lots of guys in our age bracket on here, you'll fit right in.
