I saw the price in one of this months magazines but I can't remember which one. My dealer just got a set of Apaches a couple of days ago but has'nt mounted them yet. He will most likely be putting them on a 800max. :aniwh:  Good thread maxter, love the pictures and clip also. I'm jealous. Hopefully i'll have some soon. I would only want mine for snow.

Hello everybody, just wanted to thank you for all the information you have given me on the Outlander 800 xt. I just picked it up on Saturday and man, what a difference compared to my Sportsman 700 Carb. This forum rocks and thanks again.   Greg

Hello Bitpuss,

Just found and joined this forum yesterday.  I notice you are from Mayfield NY.  Do you have any riding over that way?  I was formerly from Stratford and still have property and a camp there.  We ride roads in the Town of Stratford to roads in the Town of Sailsbury then take Sailsbury Ridge Runner trails to Dolgeville a pretty good ride but is getting old.  I just joined the soggy bottom riders club in Dolgeville and am a memberof the upstate atv club out of the Newport vic. Am looking for new places to ride, as you know NYS is not atv friendly.  Used to go to Lewis Co. but they closed the roads in Dec.  If you have any riding info  let me know.

thanks,  Franz V. Winter   fritz1937@citlink.net

Hello-

My name is Jerrick Chilton and i have been riding polaris atv's since '95.  I grew up in Detroit Lakes MN and now am serving in the Air Force near Rapid City, SD.  This site is great and I have now held off on getting a 700 sportsman for the 800 BOMB.  Just waiting for the '07 to come out and see if the little problems will be fixed.  Thanks again for a great site and all the info.

Unloaded the new 800 XT this afternoon. Took for a quick burn and may go out again this evening. Have owned a 400 XT for nigh on 3 years now. Put on 2500 miles. Great bike but warranty is running out and I have to keep up with my buddies on their Mega bores (BF and Polaris). I put on some 14" wheels with 27" Mud lite XTR. Can't wait for the weekend to really give it a workout. Have some skid plates ordered due to info found on this site. Also keen to equip the belt case with a drain plug.

Will provide some more feedback once I have a few clicks on the odo.

I live in Lufkin, Texas with my beautiful wife of 15 years and our 2 children.:wh:

I am a manager, for 15 years, of a large air conditioning wholesaler that I have worked for over 19 years.

I just picked up a 2006 Outlander 800 standard model and will start adding mods as soon as they arrive!:whs:

I have the Ricochet skids on her for protection.

Hello, I am Wildheart.  At 56 years old (with an 18 year old embedded somewhere inside), I would consider myself an experienced sport rider.  I just sold a modified Polaris Predator and a Polaris Sportsman 500 and bought a new Outlander 800.  I am hoping that the Outty will satisfy me in the sport department and also get me through the really rough areas.  I live in Casper, Wyoming and enjoy riding in all types of areas, although my favorite places are the less frequented mountain areas.:ban:

Hey all,

I live in central MN and have been riding for about 10 years now.  I am 39 and just bought my 5 year old a mini atv.  My parents live in Ely, MN and have about 40 acres 4 miles out of town that we ride on.  I ride a Polaris Sportsman 500.  My favorite places to ride are, Nemadji, General Andrews, Danbury, and Iron river Wisc.  I still haven't been to the Virginia rec area but would love to get there.  I was a member of ATVAM for abou 4 years and may rejoin soon.  I am a new member and am looking forward to hearing about some great riding areas.

That would be great.  I have been in Aurora many times.  My dad has sleds also so I go up there in the winter to ride.  My wife and I have a camper out on his 40.  We spend many weekends up there.  I do as much fishing up there as I can also.  Vermillion was hot last summer, hope it's good again this summer.  Do you know if you can ride a 4 wheeler from Ely to Aurora legally?
