:dan: Howdy, my name is Tonus and I am looking  for info on the Outlander. I have an '05 400 HO that I bought in November last year. The dealer is also a car dealership and I'm not sure if I trust their mechanic.n The problem is after I start my yeller Bomb ,it shows the hours and then a "FAIL" about 10 seconds later,,then will go back to the hourmeter. I was just wondering if anyone else had had a problem like this. any info would be appreciated.

By the way,,I am 42,,ish,,,been riding all my life in southern Illinois..mostly a trials rider and with lots of trail and hill climbing under my belt. we have lots of areas in Mo.,,Ky,,IN.,, and here in Il to ride.always looking for a good place to ride.:nw:

Welcome Tonus......Yep the FAIL message means your voltage regulator is going out or has started overcharging. On my 03 the message came too late and my battery almost exploded! I heard a whistling sound but couldn't pin point it and rode it until the thing wouldn't start because the battery was dead. The sides were bulged out and the whistling was coming from the breather.....yes FAIL is voltage regulator...again welcome! hope you can spend some time here.

Well, I found this board by accident and got into quad riding out of desparation.  My wife won't let me get anything with two wheels so I bought a '96 Kodiak from my father-in-law about a month ago.  And actually, I'm beginning to think 4 wheeling will be a lot more fun than 2 wheeling.  The quad is in pretty good shape and runs fine but I haven't taken it trail riding yet.

Personal background:  born and raised in Atlanta and ended up in Minnesota seven years ago through a job transfer.  It was supposed to be a two year assignment but I got attached and now I'll never leave.  My friends down south literally think I've gone mad........maybe I have.....:tong:

Hi everyone, my name is medic2, I'm from St.Jean Manitoba Canada.  As you can probably tell by my name I'm a Paramedic in Manitoba.  My family and I love to atv, I have a 2004 Poo 700EFI and my son has a 2005 Poo 500.  We do lots of quading in Manitoba, last year my wife and I put on about 5000 miles on our quad, we REALLY enjoy the sport.

You have a great web site.:clp:  We are having our 4th annual quad derby September 24th 2005, I posted it in your calender, please take the time to read it.

Keep in touch........CHEERS

Hi all! Just found the site this evening and had to sign up. I bought my first quad last month and I'm loving it, a '05 Brute Force 650 that is plenty of machine for me! I grew up in Eau Claire, WI and moved to MN in April of '04. Up until last month Jeeps were my primary 4-wheelin' vehicle but thats changed. I sold my '64 CJ5 (hence CJ5Luke) and bought the Brute Force. I live in Zimmerman and work in Elk River, went to my first ATV club meeting last night to check out the local group. I haven't rode in MN yet but I have been riding back at home with my friends down there, great trails in Eau Claire, Clark and Jackson counties. Great board and great resources. Keep up the good work!

I've been viewing this website for a couple weeks now and thought it was time to join.  My name is Scott and I'm 43.  I love ATV'ing and have been at it for about 5 years now.  The last couple of years I've made the trip to Richfield, Utah for their ATV Jamboree.  What a GREAT area for riding!  You can ride forever and not ride over the same trail twice.  I have been a Honda man thus far, but am very eager to get my hands on the new Outty 800.  Just waiting for my dealer to get the Camo's in.  Thanks for all the informative information that you have on this website!:urok:
