Man arrested after high-speed ATV chase

NORTH ADAMS -- An Adams man arrested after a high-speed chase early Sunday morning was arraigned on several charges in Northern Berkshire District Court on Monday.
David Clerc, 25, of Columbia Street was spotted by police shortly after 1 a.m. on Sunday driving an all-terrain vehicle south on State Street. He failed to stop when the officer turned on his cruiser's sirens and lights.

According to court documents, police officers pursued Clerc on his 2003 Yamaha Banshi 350 up to speeds of 70 miles per hour along Curran Highway. Police wrote that Clerc's driving forced officers to pursue him up onto curves and forced other drivers on the road to pull over. He was stopped and arrested on Hathaway Street in Adams.

Clerc appeared before Judge Rita S. Koenigs on charges of operating a recreational vehicle on a public way; failure to stop; operation of an uninsured motor vehicle, and operation of an unregistered motor vehicle. His case was continued until Aug. 31.

 What an idiot, does'nt he know, if you're going to run from the cops you better make damn sure you're going to get away.:aniwh:

For the record I am in no way saying or implying what he did was funny or ok, I'm simply stating the facts!
