Link to KARE11 article Minnesota Department of Natural Resources Commissioner Gene Merriam has designated 90 miles of all-terrain vehicle trails in northern Minnesota. The trails are in or next to state wildlife management areas known as Consolidated Conservation Lands in Aitkin, Beltrami and Marshall Counties. The 2002 Legislature passed a law requiring the DNR to pick and mark certain trails to ensure reasonable access for ATV's. The designations came after a rigorous public review process. County work teams made up of appointed area residents and DNR staff helped identify and select the trail segments. Many of the designated trails will be marked and ready to ride this spring. Others need bridge or culvert work and won't be ready until the end of the year.

Trying to figure out just "what" trails have been designated ??? http://www.dnr.state.mn.us/ohv/con_con/index.html Are these more "un-connected" trails.? or does this 90 miles designation "connect" the previously un-connected segments on the Con-Con lands ?
