Does anyone know the MPG difference between towing a flat nosed trailer and a "V" front trailer. I'm guessing 3-4 MPG difference. Anybody know?

I can't imagine it would be that high. I pulled a 26 foot travel trailer with a pickup for a few years and my mileage went from around 14mpg without it to 9-10mpg with it. A lot of variables ie: height, what you are pulling it with, weight, headwind, height of tow vehicle etc. My guess would be closer to 1-2 mpg difference, maybe not even that much.

I am not sure but I would say you are close at 3-4 mpg. Some of it depends on how you drive. I did have a 6 x 10 flat nose enclosed trailer. Now I have a 7 x 16 V-nose trailer. I can tell that the V-nose takes a little more to get started from a stop, but once I get up to around 55-60 the V-nose is easier to pull. I usually run around 79 MPH on the interstate and I can tell there is some differance, but I never measured it.
