 I was impressed by these HAULMARK trailers. Price is ($25-2700) right and it looks like a quality trailer. http://www.haulmark.com

My current ALUMA trailer is great, but it would be nice to have an enclosed trailer to store the Bomb outside the garage. And winter towing would be no problem. And shelves could mounted in the upper corners for junk. I'd feel a lot more secure when I park at motels overnight.  Could even sleep inside or haul furniture.

...am I trying to talk myself into it? Must be obvious.  :dan:

 I have been happy with mine, 8x24' enclosed haulmark. I originaly bought it to haul the stock car, now it's mainly used to haul equipment for state tournaments. We have used it several times to move the kids, seems like they are always moving, and yes it gets used for the atvs a lot. We have hauled them to the ride and then used it to camp in. It also makes an exllent place to store the machines in at home. The main draw back is fuel mileage, but it is nice to know your machianes are locked up when you are at a motel. I havn't been the least bit sorry for buying it. The next one is going to be 8.5x28 gooseneck.

Year after year, Haulmark trailers are chosen by more people and imitated by more competitors than any other brand. Our superior construction is a big reason why. We build each trailer to be the strongest and smoothest-riding in the industry. The following features are common to most trailers:

THE FLOOR/FRAME
  • Frame crafted from 3", 4", 6" or 8" longitudinal members, providing the structural integrity needed for every trailer.
  • Rust-inhibiting coating on steel chassis helps prevent corrosion.
  • 3/4" plywood floor on cross-members built on 16" centers ensures proper support of your valuable cargo.
  • Tires, wheels, bearings, axles, brakes and suspension are carefully selected and matched to the load properties of each trailer to ensure best performance. Most Haulmark trailers have radial tires for a superior ride and longer life.
  • Heavy-duty Torflex axles with EZ Lube hubs on most models work independently for each wheel. This ensures that road impacts on one side of the trailer are not transferred to the other.
  • Superior alignment. The frame is built on a squaring jig so the frame members are perfectly square and the axles are positioned for perfect alignment.


U-channel is welded to the trailer frame and the sidewalls fit snugly into the U-channel, preventing dust and moisture from entering the trailer (a feature on all 8'-wide trailers).

  • Hat posts instead of Z posts used for wall studs, for improved strength.
  • Door and window openings are framed with metal for improved strength. Some manufacturers use wood, which is not as strong or durable and can rot.
  • Metal recessed steps provide maximum durability and won't rot like wooden steps.
  • Roof made of seamless aluminum or galvanized steel material over heavy-duty, 18-gauge roof bows on 24" centers for years of trouble-free service.
  • Fiberglass roof cap at the front adds a touch of style while providing protection from harsh weather.
  • Reflective bubble wrap insulation is more effective than fiberglass batting.
  • Wiring runs within the walls and roof, not beneath the floor, for improved reliability.
  • Electrical wires pass through grommets in posts and walls, reducing the possibility of chafing and short circuits.
  • Tamper-resistant fasteners are used on all the door and window hinges. Also used in trucks and automobiles, these fasteners make it difficult for intruders to break into your trailer.
  • Screws are triple coated to improve corrosion resistance and will last longer and retain their good looks for years to come.
  • Posts are on 16" centers on most trailers for strength and durability (24" centers on Transport trailers).
  • D-rings and E-tracks are bolted to steel plates to provide a secure anchor for tying down your most prized cargo. Some manufacturers simply screw the D-rings or E-tracks directly to the plywood flooring.
THE TOWING TONGUE
  • Tube tongue made from the same gauge metal as the frame and integrated deep into the frame for additional strength.
  • Couplers made in standard sizes to ensure compatibility with all major-brand hitches.
  • Heavy-duty front jack with easy-cranking mechanism makes it easy to raise and lower the trailer.
  • Heavier-gauge safety chains and clutch hooks instead of S hooks for added safety and security.

That is really good pricing !!!   May I ask where you found that info.  I'd be interested in up-grading to a Haulmark if they are available in the $2500 range.  

I would need a 16' minimum...

 the dealer I was at is in Hartford, WI (SE WI), named B&B Trailers. 262-673-4100.

Price of $2500 was a new 2005 with a 12'5" interior, ramp & side door, single axle. Same trailer in a 2006 was $2750.  Choice of (10) colors and many options.

There's several sizes up to 16'5" interior. Don't know the price of this one. This pne has tandem axles and brakes.

Haulmark has dealers all over the country. Look on the website and there's a place to "find a dealer".  Good luck.

Called the dealer again. The biggest trailer in this series is 16'5" interior, dual axles, brakes, dome light, and a ramp door is about $4200. (overall length 20'5")
