Guys I need your advice.

currently im looking for a new set of shoes for my outty..

as you know its black, and Im thinking of some Black ITP rims (of the SS family) and mabe some BigHorn tires to go along with it..

I ride alot of rough stuff...well most trails in here are full of sharp rocks and nasty thorns, no rock crawling, only trails, but I do ride aggressively.

so I have previously used in my old ATV BH's and they gave me incredible results..

now this time im Considering either BigHorns or BigHorns 2.0..

Obiously I dont have a lot of info on them, since they are new Im kind of doubtfull about the 2.0, I know they are Lighter, but are they as strong as the Standard BH's??

If you where in my spot what would you do???

considering looks and functionality...

Black rims or Machined, or Polished...

2.0 bighorns or Standard...

14" or 12" rims.

either way the tires will be 26".

Please Help me.

Thanks

Stealth..
You really think that BH's 2.0 wont be as resistatnt as Standard ones???

does lighter mean thinner walls???

Also what do you think of 14" wheels for this machine... is there a downside to it???

That is what I have been told ... And I would think lighter means smaller lugs and thinner walls.
The only downside to running 14" tires is rider comfort. Less sidewall usually means a stiffer ride. I have never owned 14's, so I can tell you for sure...

I'd go with 27" Bighorn's on your 800, bullet proof (almost). :)

why 27"??
I'm guessing 27 in r12??? Right
27's don't require a Clutch kit??

I don't think you'd have to have a clutch kit, couldn't hurt tho. With 27" you'll get a little more rock clearance, is what I was thinkin.   26" would be good too. Your 800 has the power to spin anything.

Have been reading about 14"wheel setups and most trailriding guys are kinda regretting them.

I didn't know Bighorn's came in 14".

Yea they do...but only at 26"..
Im curious to se how much sidewall the 14" tire has compared to the 12"..

cus to my understanding BH's are some of the tallest tires around..
So this may mean that they have more sidewall than for instance TerraCross.
which is a popular tire for 14"..
Mabe tires with BH's the 14" would not be prone to bead separation.

Anybody has 14" BigHorns, care to comment on GC and the bead issue..

Check this out...

http://atvfrontier.com/News/print/sid=341.html

this guy seems pretty convinced taht 14" BH's work well despite other failures of 14 tires!!!

in the image it appears that the BH, has a quite tall sidewall...
will this still give any issues...

I do not want to be stubborn, I only want to analyze everything thurougly.

Again any comments???

Thanks for the help

The 14's would look better on the Max..given the longer wheel base...IMO.....
I know I said 12's earlier, but I was not taking into consideration your machine...

Thanks for the pics and the input...

you see, a friend of mine purchased 3 RZR's 2 Standard RZR and 1 RZR S, im picking them up for him tomorrow, whell the point is, I convinced him, and my dealer kindly gives me commision for every friend of mine that I take to purchase machines, so he gave me this time 500 bucks...

So, since I desintegrated the cheap thread of my new ACT in last weekend trip from Guadalajara to Puerto Vallarta y need new shoes...what better way to get them than with a 500 buck gift certificate.

And despite your warnings y commited to a set of black ITP SS108 14" Balck with 26" BigHorns...should be here friday for this weekends ride...

HOPE I DONT MAKE A MISTAKE...

Next on the list,
Shocks
Pipe
and mabe later PSS

sorry to interrupt the thread... Yep, been only a lurker all summer. Work was insane and the can-am sat due to too hot of weather.

Glad to be back! Thankfully you (quadaholic) kept the same avatar! I didn't recognize the name!

Burner bought some 14's and 26" Bighorns, so no interuption in the thread at all.

It's good to have too much work as opposed to not enough, I'm sure.

( Had several people PM me asking, if I was the same Quadzilla as over on a few other forums, also there are some products out there with the name Quadzilla on them or associated with them. So I had my "handle" changed a bit. )

You should be happy with your choice for quick comparison here is the 12" BlacK 108's with a 26" Bighorn.

I have the 14's on my RZR and they are OK but you give up a little cushion of the 12" sidewalls. Like Voodoo said you can't go wrong. I've owned 4 sets now on various wheelers.
