Upcoming Events 1. ATV Fair & Swap Meet 2. Worlds Largest ATV Parade 3. 25th Annual Fall Convention This year is ATVAM's 25th Anniversary. Please support ATVAM and Minnesota ATVing by participating in these events this year. ATVAM Volunteer Committee's and clubs have spent several months planning these events. They will be fun and it is a great opportunity to meet other ATVers who share your passion for ATVing. 1. ATV Fair and Swap Meet May 3-4, 2008 Benton County Fair Grounds, Sauk Rapids MN (Near St Cloud) http://www.atvfair.org Returning attractions are Quadmasters with their multiple challenge competitive event in the Grandstands (with beginner/stock thru open classes), an ATV Pull, and the test ride course where spectators can try out the newest ATV models, and Team Extreme R.C. truck racers. This year there will be no fee for swapping (except the standard gate admission fee per person). We've also lowered the admission fee to $7 for adults and kids under 16 are free. There is also a discount coupon at http://www.atvfair.org. For the convenience of our volunteers, we are adding a consignment (swapping) store. This will allow you, the volunteers, to offer items for sale but still be available to volunteer at the ATV Fair. Our committee has been working hard to put together an event that will have a strong platform for growth and will ensure that ATVAM will be financially stable for years to come. However, we can only plan the event. In order for it to be successful we need flexible volunteers willing to help make things happen. Volunteers have participated in similar fundraising events for many years; including ATVAM conventions and helping ATVAM provide services at Hay Days. Last year over 200 volunteers pitched in to make the ATV Fair a success. WE HAVE MANY VOLUNTEER POSITIONS STILL AVAILABLE. Worlds Largest ATV Parade June 14, 2008 Silver Bay, MN http://www.atvparade.org Spring is right around the corner, for most of us we're going out to the garage and dusting off our ATV and getting it ready for that first club ride In 3 months we will be up in Silver Bay, MN breaking the World Record for the Longest ATVs in a Parade and they have opened their doors to us. Ample parking is available along the side roads near the staging area and on the city streets. You can ride your ATV on the trail to get to the staging area or you can park at the trail head in Beaver Bay and ride the trail into Silver Bay. The parade route is a designated ATV trail for the day so kids can participate as long as they meet Minnesota state requirements for riding on trails. Details for youth riding can be found at http://www.findthetrails.com. June 14, 2008 is Flag Day so let's be patriotic and have as many flags flying as we can. Right along with that thought let's be creative and see how many ways we can dress up our ATV for the parade. Since this is ATVAM's 25th year maybe there are some vintage 3 wheelers and 4 wheelers out there that some of you have and would like to put on display for all of us to enjoy. Zups in Silver Bay who are famous for their homemade sausages and beef jerky in the Northern tri-states are going to put on an all you can eat buffet for $10.00 a person at the Union Hall. Following that will be the famous ATVAM auction and to top off the evening Northern Lights band will be playing 50's 60's and early 70's music. To help support Silver Bay's food bank we are asking everybody to bring can goods or staple item to the parade staging area to be donated to the local food bank. Registration is $12.00 per ATV.
