YOU READ IT RIGHT!  This summer starting June 27th in
Oregon, I'm going to be the first person to atv across ALL
of North America.  WE WANT YOU TO JOIN US IN
MINNESOTA!!!!!!!!!  We are starting in Oregon and ending
the first week in August close to Portland Maine.  I have
been working on the route for over three months and the
entire distance will be traveled on legal trails, forest
roads, county roads etc. from coast to coast.

At this point there are only about 6 places that we may
have to trailer for a few short miles and we are working on
those areas at the present time.  If you go to my web site
http://atvwithjim.com we have a calendar posted on the
dates we will be coming through each area.  This calendar
will be updated in the next few days and as we travel.
Adjustments will be made on a daily basis if the schedule
changes.  We will include daily photos of the ride along
with a written update of how many times we got lost, stuck,
fell off, chased by Moose etc.

I have a transponder on my atv and you can go to the web
site and follow the progress of the route as we move along.
This transponder will be live starting June 26th which is
the night before we leave from Lakeview, Oregon.

I will be coming into Minnesota at Oslo with a first stop
at Thief River Falls.  The first night stay will be either
Bemidji or Cass Lake.  Leaving Cass Lake we will follow the
Soo Line going through Remer, Shovel Lake, Palisade,
McGregor, Lawler, Kettle River and staying the second night
at Moose Lake.

This is a charity ride and we will have applications with
us for anyone that wants to contribute directly to the
charity.  You do NOT have to make a contribution to join
the ride.  We want any atver's to join for any portion of
the trip.  We are promoting legal riding, safe riding and
attention to the various trails in each state.  Each person
joining the ride for any portion will be given a decal that
indicates they have participated in this first ever event.

We have national sponsors including Arctic Cat, Lowrance
GPS, SageTracker transponders and numerous smaller
companies.  There will be regional and national newspapers,
TV stations and radio stations covering this event and we
hope Minnesota has many riders to show their ATV clubs
support.  At the present time we are anticipating 150 to
200 riders at the Wisconsin border.  If you want to
continue into Wisconsin, we will leave Moose Lake about
8:00 Am and the first night stay will be in the
Hayward/Cable area.

Thanks for your support!  Check out the web site and send
us your favorite photos.

Wow!  We just missed them.  We just got back from Washburn today.  Spent the week riding trails around Bayfield County. Came back on Hwy 13. Should have gone back thru Hurley.

Hope they don't get shut down by the DNR.  Some counties are closing the trails because the fire danger is extremely high.
