Next week they're installing a Hughes Network satellite DSL (?) system. My present phone modem is 26kps. The Hughes I've orodered is not the fastest available, it's the middle 'Pro" package at 1000kpbs download for $69 a month. There's a 1500kpbs "professional" grade for $79 a month. Are these download speeds comparable to DSL that most of you seem to be running? Would going to the 1500 system be needed or justified? Sure will be nice to watch videos actually "move" for a change without the wait, wait, wait,.......................... Advice greatly appreciated. Just upgraded to PRO-PLUS with new HN7000s modem. Am I great, or what. While it's not as fast as my cable modem, your going to be a happy camper if you get those speeds after being on at very slow dial up speeds.........Congrats Turbo! Welcome to high speed internet!

Probably depends on where in the country or Canada you are located. The Hughesnet website can tell you from your zipcode and address. Anywhere in North America.
