Arriving four years late to the pony car party, the 1967 Chevrolet Camaro was rushed into production after Ford’s stunning success with the original Mustang. Now, 40 years later, history repeats itself. With nearly 200,000 Ford Mustangs sold after a 2005 retro redesign took the icon back to its 1960s roots, Chevrolet can’t afford to ignore the sporty rear-drive coupe segment. Clearly, the bowtie boys are planning a return, as evidenced by the Camaro concept car the company trotted out at the 2006 North American International Auto Show which likely foreshadows a production car to arrive for 2008 or 2009.
If GM decides to build a new Camaro based on this show car, you can bet the Z28 version will have the same 400-horsepower, Corvette-derived 6.0-liter V8 under the hood, equipped with Active Fuel Management to achieve as much as 30 mpg on the highway, so long as you don’t row all six gears for everything they’re worth. Ditch the double-dubs for smaller wheels, and what you see in this photograph could easily be produced. The interior would likely be toned down a bit, but would have plenty of room for two and occasional space for four.

I think it will change how much I don't know. I do know they have already moved the rocker panels out because the car has a top speed of 175 mph and they said with them tucked in the car would take flight. I have heard around $35,000. I will be the first person in my dealers door to order mine in black.
