My wifes laptop is running slow, slower, or I should say walking slow. Takes to long to start and will just sit there sometimes doing nothing after trying to connect to internet. I'm thinkin the registry needs to be delt with. Is there any good/free programs that will help with what needs to cleaned out? I have used a few in the past that will bring up what's in there but I don't know enough about it to just start deleting "willy-nilly". It's a HP zt1130 "stock", about 4 years old, XP. Should I just restore it to day 1. It came with NO disc's

My wife's Gateway laptop was runnin' slow too until i bumped up the memory and deleted/uninstalled a bunch of worthless programs she had running in the background. A fresh OS install usually helps too...

download cc cleaner,it is a free program that will clean your registry and all the other crap on your comp
