Been thinking about any advantages in bolting a small boat winch to the front tongue of my trailer. 1). Perfect foolproof way of securing the front of your ATV. Tie down the rear first and pull it ahead with the winch to tighten everything up. 2). If you ever have a problem where the engine won't run and you were towed back to the trailhead, it can be hard for a couple guys to push a large machine up the ramp, especially if there's horizontal slats 4-5" apart in the tailgate. With the winch you can just pull it up on the trailer easily by yourself.

That sounds like it would work smooth as butter. I guess you would need to check on what the weight ratings are on those and maybe use another tie down as a safety precaution in the front. I don't know how much they run, but it would be much cheaper than an electric winch to pull it up.
