I have several small side jobs doing snow removal and I want a lightweight single stage snow blower that I can pick up and put in my truck with out dicking around with ramps. I think a 5hp should suit my needs but I'm not sure on what brand.....any wisdom out there?

Don't know much about what brand is good but Toro always seems good. My 2 stage still won't run right and winter is on it's way.

Yeah it is on the way. I have a 10hp 2 stage here but it is just too big for these jobs and the loading/unloading takes near as long as the job itself. Maybe I'll buy a cheap one this year and see if it is what I want...then if it works out I'll run the hell out of it and buy a good brand next year

I can assure you that I understand. There's alot of money to be made by anyone who wants to put the time it, and has the ability to get the accounts. I just prefer sitting in the cab of my truck with the heater and radio going sitting a hot cup while I'm removing the snow.
