I WAS WONDERING WHAT KIND OF CLEANER PEOPLE USE TO CLEAN THERE AIR FILTERS WITH, AND WHAT KIND OF OIL THEY USE ON THEM. AND WHERE TO GET IT. IVE BEEN USING A SPRAY (FROM MY DEALER) TO OIL THEM, BUT WHEN IT COMES TIME TO CLEAN IT NOTHING WORKS WELL. IM TALKING STOCK AIR CLEANERS(FOAM TYPE). ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT.

All I have ever used was a good quality dish soap and water to clean them and I use regular air filter oil I bought at my dealer (can't remember the brand, doesn't really matter though). After cleaning, I let it dry out good and then pour some of the oil in a large zip lock bag, put the filter in and work the oil into the filter well. Then just squeeze out the excess right back into the bag. Close the bag and it's good to go for the next oiling. By the way, a quart of this oil will last for many, many oilings.

Do not use regular motor oil. I have heard of some people doing this. It does not have the sticky quality of air filter oil, and will settle to the bottom of your filter leaving the top part dry.....not good!

Hope that helps some :aniwh:
