Heres a little something I found out through experiance, the rear cv joint boots are very vulnirable on polarisis, so boot guards are a definate must, but, they should be taken off if you plan on doing any heavy mud rideing at all, because they will capture all the mud, and it will build up enough to were your boots will be running in the mud itself. If the mud starts to dry, it will tear right through your boots, and they just suck to replace. I am going to try out some different ideas I have for a joint protector tha will let mud go thru, but still keep the sticks and stuff from tearing the boots. I  am thinking about something with expanded metal. If I come up with something that works good, Ill post it.
