i have a 800 outlander i like to ride off road through mud how can i make my quad bike waterproof can you reply with instructions and pictures please

I genrally try to keep the machine clean as I can. After washing I spray rubber components and electrical connectors with silicone. I do the same with my handle bar switches, especially after exposure to rain - snow. That means I use a lot of the stuff as I live on Kodiak island Alaska = lots of rain and snow.
Have only had this machine a few months but the same has kept me from having problems on an older Honda that get used hard and left out in the eliments often.
