I dont know of anyone personally but I have to say it sounds and looks very interesting. Just worried about, in my case, using it on an already lean in mixture Outty 800. But once fitted with the Dobeck or equivalent, one could manage it quite nicely.

They first brought these out maybe 25 years ago in the J.C.Whitney catalog as a "spark intensifier". It plugged onto the spark plug and the nipple plugged into it. Was supposed to increase the spark amperage by having it jump across a air gap.

I'd put it in the same category as the Turbonator.  :tg:

The "link" may not have worked.

yer tubonator is that thing that sits on top of a carb and has fins isn't it ??  if so, yeah thats a POS.  I have something that is a one inch spacer block and has deep threads cut into each side.  and I notice a difference.

I got this device once at the flea market.  Old man set up with his pickup and this device you plug into your coil wire, it was supposed to create a hotter spark or something.  He had a pretty impressive little set up going, he ran a spark plug off his truck with this device on the coil, the spark plug would ignite a piece of paper quickly into flames.....he removed the device and the paper would barely get a hole burned through it.   I bought one, put it on my pickup but damned if I could tell any real difference.
