I am just wondering what a clutch kit will actually do for me. What will the kit do different than the stock clutch. I am putting 27 inch Mudzillas on a 2005 700 EFI Polaris. :hp:

I can only tell you about my experience and only with the EPI clutch kits. This kit is nothing more than different primary springs for the Outlander. For mudding it was great, it raises the engagement RPM putting the motor more into the power band which makes it easier to get those big tires turning.

For slow technical stuff it sucked. High revs then jerk forward. No smooth low rpm control.

This is just my opinion and only of the EPI Outlander kit. Other kits include fly weights etc so you can fine tune your clutch better

If your main thing is mudding, and I assume that it is with the zillas then there ya go. But for the slow stuff, not!

Grizz, I don't know that you will need a clutch kit. I had 27" zilla's on my Rincon, and it still would turn them pretty good. The P700 should have more power than the Rincon, and it has low range, which the Rincon did not.

look into the DALTON kits ...

outlandish ...

you can get a spring with a stock stall rate and still a higher rpm shifyout .

sounds like you dont like the high stall in the spring you have .....

Yeah but the EPI kits came with 2 primary springs, high stall and higher stall.......they also came with a spacer for the secondary clutch that didn't fit the shaft so they told me to throw it out

I agree the Dalton kits look much better......but at about $240 vs $50 they should. I don't understand why Erlandson would even sell such a basic kit when they are known for great snowmobile clutching
