Most are fairly easy trails that are perfect for a causal ride.  All woods and forest. If you want something more chalaging you can easiliy find it also. It also meets up with the Gandy Dancer. Once you hit the Gandy you can go North up to Superior? (haven't done it yet) or if you really want to put on miles go south and you can meet up with the St. Croix state forest. My wife and i love to ride there. We have a cabin in the area and a small buisness in pine city.  Are there any good trails around Pine city??

i dont really know about any trails around pine city.  we usually go to nemadji at least twice a year.   the trails are great and there is a state campround there that costs about 6$ a night  per camp site.  the trail system goes through some of the pot latch land and has plenty of challenging stuff if ya look for it.  otherwise it is just some nice rolling trails and the gandy.  we dont ever use it because it looks like a gravel road that just goes straight for miles.  there is plenty of little towns around there to go get a drink and most of the locals are awesome!!!duqette bar has awesome bloody mary's we make it a tradition to start every ride off there for fuel and a drink.

Question?  There is a trail heading north from Willow River to Moose Lake. Can you get to the Soo line trails from there without crossing the highway bridge in Moose Lake?  It doesn't look legal to me.

i really couldnt tell ya i have never tried to do it. i have really only rode the trails in the north end.  last year was the first time we brought a gps with,  we always relied on someone who had been there a few times.  Last year we agreed to by fuel packs and bags for the racks so we can go exploring a little more i will have to give it a try when i go there.which end of nemadji is your cabin on.

Our shack is east of Bruno.  About 12 miles south of the Nemaji.  i see your from Princeton. Any good riding in that direction? we've been north of you on the Soo Line and the Redtop.  Redtop is a blast.

My understanding is that very little of the munger is open to moterized traffic. For the most part it is a hiking/horse/bike trail.

Outlandish---yea i definetly would..  I have never rode the trails up where you go but i have rode the soo line and some other spots but nemadji is the best i have found so far.  there is a fair amount of dirt bike trails but still plenty of atv trails.  the campground branches out into the trail system and there is  a big parking spot right by it for a one day ride.

grizz

thanks for the info daniellie99.   i will be leaving next thursday morning.  did you riun the willard munger at all or use the upper birch?

bigbadgrizz;  Do you know the name of the campground and do you know if they allow you to drive your atv out of the campground to the trail. And where can you get a trail map of the area.

baja x--  you can go on the dnr website and find a trail map and directions to the camp ground.  the directions are a little vague but are sufficient.  i can talk you through them if that would help.  yes you can drive you wheeler right out of the campground and on to the trails.  there is  a speed limit in the campground that is enforced pretty strictly so make sure you follow that.  the campground is also supposed to be a "dry" campground so make sure you bring big cups to drink any campfire beverages out of then they wont say anything.  also make sure you throw beer cans in a garbage bag the dnr guy said they wont say anything as long as they dont see it.  there is a big out house on both ends of the campground also..  If you get there early enough you can get the nice campsites right on the lake we usually go up thursday morning.  the campsites are bug enough to sleep quite a few people and all have fire pits,  parking usually becomes our biggest problem so we end up with a few campsites but at six dollars a night who cares(just make sure you set up a tent in every site so it looks like someone is staying there)  the campground is nemadji state campground i believe.  if you are going to be up there next weekend i could show ya around a little.  the place is pretty big so a gps is necessary.any other questions feel free to ask

grizz

trail maps are also available at the campground for free furnished by the dnr

bigbadgrizz;  Thanks for the help. Not sure when we are going but whenever we decide I will post and let you know. My only other question is, are the sites big enough for a Toy-hauler the  total length is 24ft. long? Thanks again.

well the trails were awesome and the getaway was a badly needed one.  the trails were a little dusty but the side ones were perfect.  had to leave early because of a friends wheeler problems.  also got to watch a brand new cat 650 endo up a gravel hill,  it always fun to watch someone else wreck their stuff for a change.  it always nice to not be the biggest idiot on the trail for a day. otherwise trails were nice but got pretty busy on the main trails on sat and sunday.  still better than working
