I agree about the helmets 100%. Besides the added saftey, they just look cool. I'll be the first to admit that in mt street bike years, I never wore a helmet, but nowadays, I would all the time. i normally wear one on the quad too. I wonder how fast he was going? you dont buy a bike like that to just putt around on.

I have a cbr 600RR, and one big reason for the  helmet is the people that don't have a clue driving their cars putting on makeup, reading the paper, talking on the cell phone.  And sorry to say but like this accident the little old lady that might not of seen the bike and turned in front of him. I want to get this helmet below for softball but the umps don't think it's a good idea, whats your opinion.

The umps don't like it because that's the only thing that you end up wearing after a few. :0

Yep, a full face helmet would have definitely helped him but the car not turning in front of him would have helped even more. I ride almost daily and quit counting the cars that turn left in front of me long ago. :pod:

I agree, I think anyone who has ever ridden motorcycle can relate to that. Sad, but true.

Ive been riding for 25 plus years but lately not to much, people are just not looking or there to busy on there cell phones to see you. A very good friend and a father of two daughters that grew up with my daughter was in a bike accident two weeks ago, a truck tryed stopping for a light when his brakes went out instead of rear ending the car in front of him he hopped the media and hit my friend head on. He was still in the hospital until yesterday Sunday 6-18-06 ''Fathers Day'' when he passed away with his wife and two daughters by his side, he had 9 surgerys in 13 days, its been one of the saddest Father Days Ive had since my father passed in Feb of 2001.
